Pete McKinney

Walter Preston “Pete” McKinney IV, age 56, passed away August 17, 2022. Pete was born to Walter Preston McKinney III and Mary Anne (Elgin) McKinney on October 5, 1965.
Pete worked in the masonry business for many years. He loved to go fishing and bow hunting, and spending time outdoors in general. Pete was a drummer, in his younger years he played in the band “Southbound”.
Pete is preceded in death by his father, Walter Preston McKinney III, brother, Travis McKinney, and uncle, David Elgin.
Pete is survived by his mother, Mary Anne McKinney, his loving partner, Tracy Brookshire, children, Sabrina McKinney (Justin Frost), Walter Preston McKinney V (Gabriella), grandchildren, Jackie Kennedy, Sheamus Kennedy, and Isaac Hoehn, nephew, Kyle McKinney, and nieces, Ashley Brasel, and Hannah McKinney.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
