Theresa L. (Rumple) Caputi

October 25, 1934 ~ August 20, 2022 (age 87)

                Theresa L. Rumple Sample Caputi age 87 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away August 19th, 2022.  She was born October 25th, 1934 in Cloverdale, Putnam Co. Indiana.  She was the daughter of Everett and Alena Patrick Sample.  Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Loral Melvin Rumple, granddaughter Theresa Michelle Sample and grandson Joseph Radican.

                She was a member of Amity Baptist Church and a graduate of Cloverdale High School in 1952. She then married Ronald Edward Sample, also of Cloverdale in 1954.  From that union they had five children, Gregory Z.(Marla) Sample, Paula M.(Michael) Radican, Charlene A.(Steve) Hambrick, Ronald Eric Sample and Everett F.(Julie) Sample.

                In 1969, she had another child Alan(Leslie) Fork III.  In 1981, she married Saverio Caputi Jr. M.D. and became step-mother to Jennifer Caputi Schuster.  She had 26 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.  She is survived by one sister Carolyn(Joe) Perschke.  She was an avid Indianapolis Colts Fan.  She also loved to play the slots, her flowers and spending time with her family and friends.  She worked for the United States Postal Service and retired in 2000.           

                Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 27th, 2022 at 12:00pm noon, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held Friday, August 26th, 2022 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net
