Leroy Coleman

R. Leroy Coleman, 66, of Brazil, Indiana passed away at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care on August 24, 2022 following a battle with cancer.
Leroy was born on January 21, 1956, in Brazil, Indiana, the son of Kenneth and Mildred (Powell) Coleman. He graduated from Van Buren High School. Leroy worked as an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He started working at Brazil Trucking in 1979 as their first driver and continued until his illness kept him from working. He enjoyed driving his “Big Truck”, riding his Harley Davidson, and spending time outside with family and friends.
LeRoy lived with his partner of 20 years Shelia TerMeer in Brazil; his children Shawn Coleman (Liz), Mandy Batchelor (Reynolds), Chris Coleman (Angie); grandchildren: Shelby Coleman, Skylar Batchelor, Tanner Batchelor, Carson Batchelor, Reagan Zukokas, Lillie Coleman, and Dayton Coleman; great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Jason, and Annabelle; siblings: Kenny Wayne Coleman, Roy (Nancy) Coleman, Phyllis (Wayne) Parksey, Martha Ferguson, and Joyce Coleman; additional family and friends: Mabry TerMeer, Adam TerMeer, Jason (Jennifer) Evans, Ralph (Debbie) Mustard, Mike (Jackie) Mitchell, and Keith (Janet) Nicoson, as well as many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Mildred Coleman and a brother Roy Coleman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
