Richard Ray Meek

July 29, 1953 ~ November 6, 2022 (age 69)

Richard Ray Meek “Rick” 69 of Cloverdale passed away November 6th, 2022.

Rick was born in Beech Grove, IN on July 29th, 1953 to the late Gerald E. and Betty L. (McCormmick) Meek.

Rick was an outstanding father, loving brother and devoted son and the worlds best Papaw Dude! Family was the most important thing to him and he always put them first.

Rick was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country, he was an M16 Sharpshooter Specialist and served in the transportation division. He was

a very proud member of the American Legion Post 281.
Rick was a retired truck driver with Teamsters Local 716. He worked many years at Indianapolis Steel, Yellow Freight, Milestone and Lazer Spot.

Rick is survived by his children Tamara (Carl) and Lindsay (Josh). Rick had 5 grandchildren Lauren, Clayton, Austin, Sierra and Maverick, as well as his longtime companion of 24 years Judith L. Powell.

Rick is also survived by his brothers Randall, David, Robert and sister Jewlia and several nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Betty Meek and 3 brothers, Darald, Ronald, Gerald.

Rick will be laid to rest at Cataract Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at the Cloverdale American Legion Post 281 at a later date. Rick was truly an amazing person and will be greatly missed by all.
