Monice Jeanette Heavin

MAY 24, 1924 – NOVEMBER 25, 2022

Monice Jeanette Heavin, 98, of Greencastle, formerly of Fillmore, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022.

Born May 24, 1924 in Greencastle the daughter of Lois H. and Mabel C. (Byrd) Clark. She was a graduate of Fillmore High School “Class of 1942”

Monice had worked at DePauw University for several years. She was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Heavin in 1992 and her parents.

Monice is survived by her sons, David (Janice) Heavin and Jay (Diane) Heavin; three grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Fillmore Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
