Earl Wayne Wilson

APRIL 9, 1934 – DECEMBER 11, 2022

Earl “Wayne” Wilson, 88, of Greencastle passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Waters of Greencastle.

Wayne was born in Greencastle on April 9, 1934, the son of Alva E. and Gladys Mae (Conwell) Wilson, and was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Mr. Wilson was a member of Greencastle Masonic Lodge #47. He worked for over 30 years in maintenance for P. R. Mallory.

Survivors include his son, Earl Wilson, (wife-Linda); a sister, Joanne Wood; two grandchildren, Ed Wilson, (wife-Lisa), and Jessica Wilson; and two great grandchildren, Riley Wilson, and Shelbi Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Elizabeth Wilson; six sisters, Edna Sutherlen, Irene Rogers, Thelma Harmon, Mabel Poynter, Eyleon Petrey, and Hazel Siddons; and two brothers, Everett and Paul Wilson.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Clinton Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.
