Thelma Jane Jeffries

Thelma Jane Jeffries, 92, of Brazil, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Springhill Village. She was born on July 11, 1930, in Brazil, to Thomas Gordon and Eulum Marie (Fox) Bennett.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Terry Jane Montgomery and husband Philip; son, Richard E. Jeffries; several nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Raymond Jeffries; her parents; sisters, Doris Patrick, Betty Beeler, Jean Hassler, Shirley Sonnefield, and brother, William Bennett.

Jane was a devoted wife and mother her entire life. She was a stay-at-home mother until her children went to school. A people person, Jane went to work as a waitress and later as a clerk at a pharmacy. She also helped keep the books for her husband’s business. She always kept her house immaculate. Jane attended Peniel Methodist Church in Brazil. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother and best friend to her daughter, Terry.
