Beulah "Boodie" Wetnight

October 17, 1927  -  December 20, 2022

Beulah “Boodie” May Wetnight, 95, of Brazil, passed away December 20, 2022, at 8:13 am, at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility with her family at her side. She was born October 17, 1927, in Smithboro, IL, the last of eleven children. Her parents were George F. Shultz and Lena Nichols Shultz. She went to a one room schoolhouse in Woburn, IL and later in Smithboro, IL. In 1945, Beulah was united in marriage to Morris F. Wetnight. Together they raised their family in Brazil. They were members of the Church of the Nazarene. When the children were in school, Boodie was active in the Jackson St. PTA.

Later in her life, Boodie enjoyed working at the Sunshine Bible and Gift Store. She really liked her years working at the store. She like talking with folks and helping them make selections.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her ten brothers and sisters; her husband Morris; daughters, Susan Wetnight, and Pattie Brim; one great-grandson, Austin.

Survivors include her children, Rick Wetnight and wife Sonja, Carol Harrison, and husband Darrel; David Wetnight and wife Onja, Paul Wetnight and wife Kim all of Brazil; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; many other extended families.

Services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 1:00pm at French Funeral Home with Pastor Marlin Betts officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11-1:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Gentiva Hospice, 4122 S. 7th St. Terre Haute, IN. 47802.
