Katrina Atkinson

January 23, 1966  -  December 28, 2022

Katrina Kay Atkinson, 56, passed away December 28, 2022. Katrina was born to James “Steve” Atkinson and Sharon Kay (Morlan) Batchelor on January 23, 1966 in Brazil.

Katrina graduated from Van Buren High School in 1984. In 1987, Katrina graduated from Ivy Tech with an Associate’s Degree in nursing. She was also a member of the Army National Guard. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and watching IU basketball. Katrina’s proudest accomplishment was being a mom to her two daughters, Karlie and Karah.

Katrina was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kylah Atkinson, step father, Ron Batchelor, both maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as many aunts and uncles.

Katrina is survived by her daughters, Karlie Atkinson and Karah Atkinson, her parents, Steve Atkinson (Cheryl), and Sharon Batchelor, a brother, Brian Atkinson (Chris), nephew, Noah Atkinson, as well as many cousins.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3rd from 11:30 – 1:00 at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service will begin at 1 P.M. officiated by Kevin Timberman. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
