Karen Mullenix

February 19, 1953  -  January 30, 2023

Karen Elaine Mullenix, 69, passed away January 30, 2023. Karen was born to the late Marvin and Anna Mary (Bolin) Lash on February 19, 1953 in Clay County.

Karen graduated from Brazil High School in 1971. During high school she was very active in various clubs as well as the band. On June 19, 1971, Karen married Joseph Mullenix. In her free time she enjoyed camping and loved to find a good deal when shopping at thrift stores or yard sales. Karen enjoyed watching Colts football games. For over 42 years, she worked various jobs at Clay County Hospital.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bobby Ray Lash, and a sister, Marvena K. Branson.

Karen is survived by her husband, Joe Mullenix, a daughter, Kari Osborne (David), two grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Osborne and Ian Troy Ray Osborne, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, February 6th at 1 P.M. at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
