John Paul Vermillion

AUGUST 3, 1946 – JANUARY 29, 2023

John Vermillion, age 76, of West Terre Haute, Indiana passed away at 9pm on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

John was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on August 3rd in 1946 to Kenny and Vernis (Cooper) Vermillion. He graduated from West Vigo High School and served in the US Army before marrying his wife of 54 years, Kate (Humphrey) on February 22nd, 1968 in El Paso, Texas, who preceded him in death this past October 20, 2022.

John was a former deacon and founding member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church in West Terre Haute. Founder and former owner of The Bug Man Pest Control, he enjoyed clean jokes, Indiana basketball, playing softball, hot popcorn, and time with his family.

He is survived by his brother, Kenny R. Vermillion; his sons, Neil Vermillion and Glen Vermillion (Sheri Vermillion).

John will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park. There are no services scheduled at this time.
