Nancy Kay Wimmer, age 79, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. She was born on May 18, 1943 in Terre Haute to Eddie Wimmer and Kowena Mae Penrod Wimmer.

Growing up, Nancy's family was filled with love. Her father was a Coal Miner, and her mother was a stay at home mom to she and her three sisters.

She was a 1961 graduate of Glenn High School.

Nancy had worked at Quaker Maid, Columbia House and then retired from Harborside now Springhill Village.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Kathryn Kerr.

Surviving are her sisters, Dora Wimmer and Margaret Davis; one niece, Tanya Woodall and partner Debra Chandler ; two nephews, Timothy Alvey and wife Bobbie, and Todd Alvey and partner Lori Guiffre; great-nephews and nieces, Shannon Bryant, Christopher Alvey, Kaleb Alvey, Brittany Alvey, Zackery Alvey, Jhessail Woodall, Tannim Woodall, Jase Smith; and great-great niece and nephews, Steven Gregory, JoDee Bauer, Jacob Bryant, London Alvey, River Alvey, Kaden Alvey, Coleton Waggoner and Zaidyn Waggoner; great-great-great niece and nephew, Marcey Gregory, Landry Gregory; and her fur nieces, Kenzie Jo and Addison Marie; and her fur baby kitty cat, Tiger Kitty.

Nancy loved to do crafts, and decorate for Christmas. Nancy's favorite meal was steak. After her retirement, she and her sisters traveled the US in an RV out west. They also enjoyed Hawaii. Their favorite place to camp was in Madison, Indiana on the Ohio River.

She loved her nieces and nephews, and treasured their visits. Nancy was a quiet soul that touched many lives.

Nancy accepted Jesus on February 8, 2023 and was baptised on February 13, 2023 by Pastor Steve Blaydes. Her passing was very peaceful.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Blaydes officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until time of services at the funeral home.

The family gratefully acknowledge the care and compassion that Nancy received from Springhill Village and Gentiva Hospice.
