Tina K. Regester

JULY 17, 1944 – FEBRUARY 13, 2023

Tina K. Regester, 78, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 17, 1944 in Mifflintown, PA to John and Hazel (Vanhorn) Kearchner.

Tina is survived by her sister, Elsie “Sis” Hackenberger; children, Jamie Strange and husband Sean, John “J.W.” Regester, and Trisha Bailey and husband John; seven grandchildren: Sean, Ashlee, J.T., Amanda, D.J., Jaelin, and Zayne; nine great-grandchildren: Kayli, Kenadi, Kambri, Kash, Shelby, Sean Patrick, Jonathan, Dallas, and Brody; fiancé, Donnie Sieber; special friends, Frank, Hope, Brandon, and Flo; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Danny Regester; and a sister, Marie “Pet” Bahn.

Tina graduated from Juniata Joint High School. She owned and operated the Elm Grove RV Park and delivered newspapers in North Terre Haute for 30 years. Always spontaneous and full of adventure, Tina was up for anything at any time. She loved to shop and could always find a deal at a yard sale or auction. Tina enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially including them in her many adventures and misadventures. Tina lived life to the fullest and loved her family beyond measure. Her feisty nature, fierce independence, and delightful sense of humor will live on through all those blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 26 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Branham officiating. Per Tina’s wishes, cremation will follow.
