Allen Irvin Crockett

DECEMBER 16, 1952 – FEBRUARY 25, 2023

Allen I. Crockett, 70, of Avon and formerly of Terre Haute and Chandler, AZ, passed away quietly at home with no pain or struggle on February 25, 2023. He was born on December 16, 1952 in Terre Haute to Allen and Ruth (Rikard) Crockett. He married the love of his life, Ann Chubb on March 2, 1974.

Allen is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann Crockett of Avon; son, Jonathan Crockett of Monrovia; brother, Jim Crockett of Terre Haute; and sister, Bonnie Dougherty and husband, Tom of Weslaco, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Ellen Jones, brother, Robert Crockett, and brother-in-law, Larry Jones.

Allen was a 1970 graduate of Garfield High School. He proudly served in the Indiana Army National Guard for 8 years. Allen worked in dispatching and logistics at Bashas Grocery Warehouse in Chandler, AZ for 19 years. He drove trucks for various companies for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and playing Euchre in his spare time. Most of all, Allen loved the Lord Jesus and was ready to meet him. His family rejoices in the fact that he is at home in Heaven with his Lord and Savior.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Warren officiating and military honors provided by the Vigo County Honor Guard.
