Gale Jean Gidcumb

MARCH 22, 1959 – MARCH 14, 2023

Gale Jean Gidcumb, 63, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Born March 22, 1959 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Royal Dale and Betty Jean (Crawley) Sillery. Gale was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1977”.

Gale had worked at Ascena for over 20 years, retiring in May of 2022. She was a member of Storehouse Church, formerly the First Assembly of God Church, Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Gale is survived by her husband, Alan Gidcumb; daughter, Tashia Gidcumb; son, Joshua Gidcumb; her beloved companion, Sophie; and several cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 19th at the funeral home.
