Waneta Kay Graham

Waneta Kay Graham, known to friends and family as Kay, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2023, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

 

She was born on August 5, 1955, in Clinton, Indiana. Kay spent much of her 67 years creating a life filled with love, laughter, and service to others. She graduated from West Vigo High School with the class of 1973. She attended IVY Tech where she earned a degree as a medical transcriptionist. She worked at Kroger, in Brazil, for more than 26 years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, ministering to others, going for walks, and most of all spending time with family.

 

Kay was a devoted wife, mother, and nana who cherished spending time with her family. Her warm, nurturing spirit was a constant source of comfort and support to those who knew her. She had a natural ability to make everyone feel welcome and at ease, and her home was often filled with the sounds of laughter and lively conversation.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Waneta (Keller) Webb, her first husband Leonard Fields and a son Brian Fields.

 

She is survived by her husband William Graham; children: Lennie Fields (Byeoni), Angie Dwyer (Andy), Chris Olney (Craig) and Sherry Bowles (Keith); grandchildren: Austin Fields (Katey), Lacey Fields, Logan Fields, Tamesha Al Badri, Sarah Richards, Christina Richards, Kameron Fields, Steven Dwyer, Makayla Dwyer, Devon Hanrahan, and Graham Bowles; great-grandchildren: Odin Schoiber and Xavier Schoiber; siblings: Helen Webb, Jane Lingenfelser (Gary), Jackie Decker (Mike), Nancy Rutledge (Dick), and Sharon Snider; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

 

A celebration of life will be held at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Services will begin at 5:00. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.

 

Kay requested that visitors wear joyful colors as she wishes to be remembered in happiness rather than in sadness.
