Carly Joy McAlister, 28, of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at her home.

She was born Oct. 30, 1994, at Crawfordsville, to Marlon and Tracy Joy (Vance) McAlister.

Carly graduated from Southmont High School in 2013 and was working on starting her own cleaning service. She enjoyed going to the gym, hula hooping, hiking, dancing and singing. She loved her cat, Marvin and shopping, especially for purses and shoes.

Carly is survived by her parents, Tracy (Bob Bowling) McAlister and Marlon (Julie Surface) McAlister; brother Levi (Samantha) McAlister; two nephews, Kamryn and Nikoles; niece Piper; grandmother Vera Cheek; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ag and Sue Vance; paternal grandfather, Sam McAlister; uncle Bob Vance; and cousins, Angela Bontz and Tucker Brown.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Thursday, May 11 from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Carly’s name to the Animal Welfare League, 1104 Big 4 Arch Road, Crawfordsville IN 47933.
