Gwendolyn “Gwen” Lea Nicholson Jackson, 82, of Ladoga, passed away May 30, 2023 at Beech Grove Meadows Assisted Living Facility.

She was born on March 6, 1941, to the late Robert C. and Mary E. (Grantham) Nicholson. On November 25, 1961, she married Chester Glen Jackson, Jr. He preceded her in death May 3, 2018.

Gwen graduated from Ladoga High School and then attended Purdue University. She worked as a Bookkeeper, Avon Representative and Retail Clerk. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters; Lisa Jo (Gregory) Schmith, Pamela Marie (Troy) Tibbot, grandchildren; Rachel Kriech, Ashley Harvey, Pete Schmith, Shelby Schmith, Makenzy Tibbot, Payton Tibbot, Delaney Tibbot, great grandchildren; Savannah Harvey, Adelyn Harvey, Jackson Schmith, Blakely Hardister and brother, Gary (Becky) Nicholson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen, sister, Roberta Nicholson, brothers, LaMarr Nicholson and Larry Nicholson and grandson, Jackson Tibbot,

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on June 23, 2023 at the Old Normal, 100 North Harrison Street Ladoga, IN, with Pastor Tami Mussche Officiating.

Friends may gather for visitation from 4:00–7:00PM before the service.
