Larry Anthony Zukokas Sr.

JANUARY 27, 1942 – JUNE 10, 2023

Larry Anthony Zukokas, Sr., 81, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 with family by his side.

Larry is survived by his wife, Darlene (Byrley) Zukokas; children, Darla Trausch and husband, Scott; and son, Kevin Zukokas and wife, Kristy; sister, Marilyn Rands; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ora Zukokas; a son, Larry Zukokas, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Abigail Trausch.

Larry was a 1960 graduate of Garfield High School. He worked at Hulman and Company, Reuben Donnelly, and retired from Columbia House after many years of service. He enjoyed getting together for monthly breakfasts with his fellow Columbia House retirees.

Larry was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He bowled on a league for several years. He liked to play basketball and golf. Larry also enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles and playing computer solitaire. A gifted storyteller, Larry could make anyone laugh. Most of all, Larry enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He was a great husband, wonderful dad, amazing grandfather and great-grandfather, and a truly good person. He will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
