Karen Ruth Noel, 72, of Mooresville, formerly of Cloverdale, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

Born September 24, 1950 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Richard B. Harshbarger and Evelyn (Gambill) McGuire. She was a graduate of Decatur Central High School.

Karen retired in September 2010 from the State of Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles where she had worked for 32 years, working in Indianapolis and Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Noel; parents; and a brother William R. Harshbarger.

Karen is survived by her son, Jason M (Leslie) Noel; a brother, David L. Harshbarger; grandchildren, Krymson, Jacob, Kaylee; great grandchildren, Zander and Lydia; two nieces, Angela (Dawson) Atwood and Darlene (Joe Bowser) Crites; a nephew, Keith Harshbarger; a great niece, Samantha; and a great nephew, Dakota.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Walnut Chapel Cemetery.

Then family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday.
