Kenneth Leroy Bennett Jr.

JANUARY 26, 1958 – JUNE 18, 2023

Kenneth Leroy Bennett, Jr., 65, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 26, 1958, in Terre Haute to Kenneth Leroy Bennett, Sr. and Rosetta Glen (Bryant)

Ramey.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Karen Bennett; mother of his children, Debra Bennett McNabb (Michael); sons, Ryan Bennett and Eric Bennett (Jordan); step-father, Jack Ramey; brothers, Brian Bennett

(Katie), Brad Bennett (Beverly), and Scott Ramey; several nieces and nephews; and last, but not least, his

beloved dogs, Annie, Cammi, and Marley; and his granddog, Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Kenneth was employed in many carpentry and maintenance jobs throughout his life. He liked working with his hands and found joy in learning how things worked. He was a very accomplished carpenter and painter and could fix anything. He loved to tinker on lawn mowers and anything else with an engine. Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He was a member of several pool and dart leagues. Kenneth enjoyed science fiction, history, and nature.

The life of the party, Kenneth had a magnetic personality and was instantly liked by anyone who met him. His booming voice and genuine laughter always filled the room he was in. He accepted people for who they were, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was an amazing father and friend. Kenneth enjoyed living life and cherished his family. He will be truly missed.
