Wallace Eugene McKeehan

DECEMBER 30, 1932 – JUNE 20, 2023

Wallace Eugene McKeehan, 90, of Greencastle passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.

Gene was born in Greencastle on December 30, 1932, the son of Frank and Edna (Arnold) McKeehan, and was a 1950 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Mr. McKeehan proudly served for 25 years in the Army National Guard. He started his working career with Allison Transmission for two years then worked in various capacities with IBM for over 32 years until his retirement in 1986. He and his wife Anne also volunteered for over 25 years with Florida State Parks primarily at T.H. Stone Park.

Survivors include his daughter, Marsha Davidson, (David); two grandchildren, Drew Davidson, (Josh Holden), and LeeAnne Davidson; a great-grandson, Neziah Holden; a brother, Robert Doyne, (Clara); a sister Marty McKeehan; a sister-in-law, Helen McKeehan; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years, Alice Anne McKeehan; and a brother, Charles Wayne McKeehan.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Brick Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Mark Strahm officiating. Friends may gather at the graveside at 10:30 a.m. on the day of service.
