Mark Earl Newport

SEPTEMBER 17, 1960 – JUNE 22, 2023

Mark Earl Newport, age 62, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023.

He was born on September 17, 1960 in Terre Haute to Earl Homer Newport and Rosalie Ann Newport.

Mark was a graduate of Terre Haute North High School, class of 1978 and attended Ivy Tech Community College.

He was a former Nevins Township Volunteer Fireman and Trustee of the Township.

An avid woodworker, he was the owner of Newport Construction.

He enjoyed being outdoors, and consuming Coffee (96 Keurig Cups a week). He received the award for the Best Cup Of Coffee in Nevins Township.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife of two years, Bonnie; five daughters, Amanda Lawler and husband Benjamin, Courtney Fox and husband Nicholas, Alexis Newport, Myleigha Newport and Samiyah Newport; a step-son, Eric Gieseking and wife Sarah; a sister, Brenda Thomson and husband, Cam; several beloved grandchildren; and his beloved Beagle SammiJo.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 1 P.M. at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Johnathon Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family for the grandchildren, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Mark never knew a stranger and was always a friend to all who met him.

He always took care of others before himself and was loyal to all.
