Elsbeth Helga Mulvihill

Elsbeth Helga Mulvihill, age 87, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023. She was born on September 17, 1935 in Breslau, Germany to Gerhardt Czaja and Charlotte Eichholz Czaja.
Helga immigrated to the United States in 1957 with her first husband, Charles Christy. Charles and Helga had three children; Chuck Christy, Rick Christy, and Denise Streacker and husband Joe; and two stepsons, Tom Mulvihill and family, and Bill Mulvihill and family.
She retired from Terre Haute First Financial where she was a Teller in Seelyville.
Helga was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Heinz and Roland; and her husband, Thomas Mulvihill.
She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Sabrina Lowe and Justin Morlan, Taylor Christy, Rick Christy and wife Beth, Samantha Pettyjohn and husband David, Jim Mattick, Justin Mattick and wife Karly, Joe Streacker and wife Samantha, and Traci Streacker and Lawrence Allison; great-grandchildren, Lizzie Lowe, Jesi Lowe, Adelyn "Addie" Carr, Nathan Sparks, Brody Sparks, Beau Pettyjohn, Nathan Pettyjohn, Chloe Christy, Belle Christy, Braiden Mattick and Anna Pfister, Isabelle Trimble, Conner Mattick, McKenna Mattick, James Melancon, and Jasmyne Melancon; and one great-great granddaughter, Paisley Mattick.
Helga attended Christus Victor Lutheran Church. Euchre was a favorite hobby and many summer days were spent around her swimming pool with her family.
She traveled back to her native Germany twice, to reconnect with family.
Helga's family will hold a private celebration of her life in the fall.
