Marilyn Byrd, 81, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 17, 2023.

She was born in Greencastle on May 4, 1942, the daughter of Clyde Overshiner and Dorothy Overshiner Ault. She was the loving wife of Ronald R. Byrd together on July 14th they just celebrated their 64th Wedding anniversary.

Marilyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended Lifespring Church in Bainbridge. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling. Her life was a living example of the Bible Verse Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Ronald; five children, Cindy Kennedy, Ronnie Byrd, (Kay), Dana Dunn, Kristi Sanders, (Nathan), and Mindy Morris; 18 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister; and three brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and a granddaughter.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, at Lifespring Church in Bainbridge, located at 1717 US-36, Bainbridge, IN 46105.

Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
