Maverick Lee Deal

Maverick “Mav” Lee Deal, age 2, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on July 14, 2023.

Maverick was born on March 22, 2021, at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, the son of Ethan and Anna (Mullins) Deal. Maverick loved playing with dinosaurs, camping, fishing, kayaking, riding 4-wheelers, playing football, baseball, and play hide-and-seek with his brothers and sister, reading, taking naps with his mom, and working in the garage with his dad.

Maverick was so smart and never met a stranger. He knew and shared sign language, knew the different tools his dad needed in the garage, knew football, and baseball and loved reading.

Maverick leaves behind his parents Ethan and Anna Deal; siblings: Carson, Gracelyn, and Cooper Deal; grandparents: Andy and Lisa Carpenter, Ray Mullins, and Shelly and Bill Johnson; aunts and uncles: Wendi Mullins, Corey Mullins (Chalyse), Jordie Mullins (Sedalia), Andrew Mullins (Rebecca), Aubrey Day (Brady), Hayden Deal, Kimber Manuel (Dustin), Dusty Owen, Joy Owen, Jacob Johnson (Drue Dowell), Gavin Johnson (Kayla), and Jake McClelland (Jenny Moore) as well as a host of cousins and extended family members.

Maverick was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers Anita Griner and Martha Hasler, and two cousins: Braydon Mullins and Angileeza Mullins.

Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 4-8 PM. Services will be at the funeral home, on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
