Herbie Walton

August 20, 1966  -  July 24, 2023

Herbert “Herbie” Wayne Walton, 56, passed away peacefully July 24, 2023 surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer. Herbie was born on August 20, 1966 to Herbert J. Walton Jr. and Virginia “Jane” (Gorman) Walton in Brazil.

Herbie graduated from Northview High School in 1985. During high school he began working for Lynn’s Pharmacy where he continued to work for over 30 years. He was a familiar face around town and whenever you entered Lynn’s. He recently began working for Piloni’s Italian Steakhouse which he loved. Between Lynn’s and Piloni’s he developed many relationships and his coworkers became his second family.

Herbie was a devout Christian. He loved attending church and Bible Study. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Brazil. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He knew what was important in life and had his priorities straight: God, Church, and Family.

Herbie was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Jane Walton.

Herbie is survived by his parents, Herbert Walton Jr. and Jane Walton, three siblings, Michael Walton, Tammy Jackman (Darrin), and Lisa Youngblood, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 28th from 1-3 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church, 1005 N. Washington Street in Brazil. A funeral service will begin at 3 P.M. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
