Lupe Ann Swart

NOVEMBER 22, 1939 – JULY 25, 2023

Lupe Ann Swart, age 83, of Terre Haute and formerly of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. She was born on November 22, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Jesse Mazzotte and Lupe Hernandez Mazzotte.

Lupe had been employed as a press operator and the VFW in Wichita.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, George Mazzotte, brother, Henry Mazzotte; sisters, Julie Rivera, Lucille Taylor, and a beloved grandson, Cody Swart.

Surviving are her son, Larry Swart and wife Laura of West Lafayette, Indiana; her grandchildren, Brandon Swart and wife Megan of Terre Haute, and Lindsey Sanders of Terre Haute; three great-grandchildren, Devon Swart, Camden Swart, and Taelor Swart; two sisters, Esther Mazzotte, Alice Mazzotte; nieces, Barbara Taylor-Grey, Tracey Young, Debbie Mazzotte, Darlene Mazzotte, Cindy Hwang and husband George, and Alicia Fontenot; nephews, Tony Taylor and wife Margot, J.J. Garcia, John Eric Garcia, and Leif Garcia; several great nieces and nephews.

Lupe enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and spending time with friends and family.

A lifelong Christian, she grew up in the Assembly of God Faith.

Private family arrangements were held at Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Terre Haute, Indiana.
