Suzanne Tabor

Suzanne “Suzie” Tabor, 83, of Centerpoint, Indiana, passed away at home, unexpectedly, on August 1, 2023.

Suzie was born on February 7, 1940, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of John and Irene (Yeley) Wilson. She graduated from Wiley High School with the class of 1957. Suzie married Jim Tabor on August 9, 1958; they were soon to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. Suzie worked with Jim at Sherwin Williams for many years. She was a talented interior designer and enjoyed planning decorations for many area homes.

Suzie enjoyed attending church at First Christian Church where she had been very active over the years, reading, flower gardening, and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Irene Wilson; brothers: Edward Wilson and Richard Wilson; and a son-in-law James K. Bucklin.

Survivors include her husband Jimmie Tabor; a daughter Rebecca S. Bucklin; a son Stephen V. Tabor; granddaughter Victoria Turpin, great-grandson Alexander James Turpin; and a sister Rosemary Stringfellow as well as many extended family members.

Visitation will be at the First Christian Church, in Brazil, on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will follow at 7:00 PM.
