Stephanie Jeffers

Stephanie M Jeffers, 35, of Coal City, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Stephanie was born June 23, 1988 in Terre Haute to Richard Schroer and Dawn Lundy.

Stephanie was a life long member of Cory Zion Church and also was active in Maryland Community Church. Her faith was very strong and she was a member of the Emmaus Community. Stephanie was a graduate of Indiana State University earning a BS in Consumer Sciences and a MS in Graduate and Professional Studies. She worked her whole career in higher education and was passionate about helping students achieve their goals. She loved her cats and dogs, gardening, cooking, and sharing her life and faith with her friends and family, especially her nieces and nephew.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Wayne Jeffers, whom she married August 6, 2011. She is survived by her father, Richard Schroer (Danielle) of Clay City, mother Dawn Lundy (Joe) of Carbon, brother Ryan Schroer (Amanda) of Tontitown, AR, sister Paige Lane (Clay) of Fort Branch, sister Gracie Schroer of Clay City, step sister, Rachael Cottrell, grandfather Dee Schroer of Greencastle, grandmother Linda Diehl of Cory, and grandmother June Beatty of Terre Haute. Additional survivors include five nieces and nephews, Addison, Eli, Everly, Briley, and Marley and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 9th from 4-8 P.M. at Maryland Community Church, 4700 IN-46 Terre Haute, Indiana 47802. A funeral service will be held at 12 P.M. on Thursday, August 10th at the church. Friends and family may visit from 11 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday. Graveside services will be private following the funeral.
