He was baptized in the Presbyterian Church at an early age.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an older brother, Harold; a stepdaughter, Jaimi Kelly; stepdaughter-in-law Donna Kay Cox; and step-grandson Cody Lee Cox.

Surviving him to cherish great memories are his wife of 31 years, Donna F. Decker; son Steve (Tara) Decker; daughter Susan (Greg) Schlensker; three granddaughters, Jordan, Brooke and Stevie Decker; stepson Bradley Cox; two step-grandsons, Damon B. (Jannllie) Cox and Kyle (Kayla) Cox; nine step-great-grandchildren, Julian, Damon T., Elliana, Zaine, Patience, Emric, Kaid, Kinzer and Quincy Cox; and special sister- and brother-in-law, Marie and Bill Sweetwood.

Floyd was a kind and generous man who was proud of his family and loved “The Man Upstairs,” family and freedom and will be sorely missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date due to out-of-state family members.

Interment will be in conjunction with his wife’s burial in the veteran’s section at Forest Hill Cemetery when the time comes.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Floyd.
