Rebecca Clarice Sears, 63, of Sheridan passed away on September 4, 2023, at her residence.

Rebecca was born in Greencastle on June 23, 1960, the daughter of John C and Beverley (Liptrap) Sears.

Ms. Sears was very active in Special Olympics, and was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution (DAR). She loved her time at PCCS in Greencastle, and was very dedicated to her parents and family.

Survivors include her two brothers, Chuck Sears, (Alison) and John Sears; several nieces’ nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Chester and Clarice Liptrap; her paternal grandmother, Ethel Sears; and her sister-in-law, Beth Sears.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Champion officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
