Carroll Lee Maish, 89, of Roachdale, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Franciscan Health in Lafayette.

He was born May 1, 1934, in Frankfort to the late James T Maish and Doris Pauline (Sharp) Maish.

Carroll was a 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School, and received his master’s degree in teaching from Indiana State University.

Carroll served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was an elementary school teacher for 34 years, of which 27 years were at Roachdale Elementary. He was also a member of the Roachdale Christian Church.

On June 19, 1966, Carroll married Carolyn B. Redmon in Frankfort. They shared 57 years of marriage.

Carroll is survived by his wife, Carolyn B. Maish; two sons, David L. (Melissa) Maish and Danny J. (Kelly) Maish; six grandchildren, Mason Maish, Brianna Coffing, Lilie Maish, Ashley Coffing, Audrey Maish and Avan Maish; and a brother, Dr. James I. (Sharon) Maish.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale, IN 46172, with Bob Vice officiating. Burial will follow in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until service time also at the funeral home.
