Darin Nihle Dawson, 37, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 19, 2023.

Darin was born April 19, 1986, in Greencastle to John W. and Robin R. (Majors) Dawson.

Darin was a 2005 graduate of North Putnam High School.

Darin worked for AutoVIN and Target distribution and most recently worked at Labcorp.

He was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church.

Darin enjoyed video games and Comic-Con. He was a big Marvel fan and was always first in line to watch the newest movie released. He was a collector of movie memorabilia and an avid reader. He also enjoyed amusement parks and riding roller coasters.

Darin is survived by his parents, John W. (Robin R.) Dawson; a brother, Matthew L. (Kiera); best friend Luke Stevenson; family friend Char Coffman (Jeff); his aunts and uncles from both sides, James Dawson (Rebecca), Orbie Dawson (Sandi), Eva Dawson, Judy Dawson, Anthony Dawson, Bonnie Majors, Bobby Majors (Sandy), Vickie Thornburg, Sandy Majors, James Majors (Brenda) Deborah Pullen, Thomas Majors (Tamara) and Carol Minter; along with many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orbie and Lena Dawson; his maternal grandparents, James and Pauline Majors; and three uncles, Earl Dawson, William Majors and Jerry Minter.

A celebration-of-life service for Darin Nihle Dawson will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 12-4 p.m. at Roachdale Christian Church in Roachdale. If you would like to bring your favorite picture and share your favorite memory of Darin, we welcome you to do so.
