Joann Gray, 84, of Indianapolis, formerly of Greencastle, passed away Oct. 21, 2023.

She was born July 27, 1939, in Greencastle to the late Joseph Y. and Marjorie (Money) Todd.

Joann was a graduate of Greencastle High School in the class of 1957 and of Lincoln Junior College.

She married Tucker Gray on Aug. 13, 1960, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2022, after nearly 62 years of marriage.

Joann and Tucker were the owners/operators of Todd’s Ace Hardware in Greencastle until 1987. Joann then worked for Marsh Supermarket and DePauw University before retiring in 2012 and moving to Winter Haven, Fla. After the passing of her husband, Tucker, Joann returned to Indiana to live closer to her family.

Joann is survived by her children, Todd Gray (Teresa) and Kim Dulaney (Ted); sister Mary Jane McArthur (Mike); nephew Christopher Huller; and grandchildren Nathan Dulaney, T.J. Dulaney, Elizabeth Gray and Alexandra Gray.

Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Tucker Gray; stepmother Lorraine Todd; and nephew Jason Huller.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at Crown Hill National Cemetery, 725 W. 42nd St., Indianapolis, IN 46208.
