Genevieve L. Short, 75, of Poland, went to be with the Lord April 8, 2024.

She was born August 8, 1948 in Terre Haute, to the late Robert and Mary Evelyn (Leimgruber) Carter.

She married John Short in 1971 and he preceded her in death January 12, 2020.

She was an avid fisherman, and a member of the Cataract Yacht Club. She was a retired nurse and taught nursing at Area 30, Greencastle. Genevieve is survived by her brothers Joe (Judy) Carter, Bob (Marlene) Carter; sisters Nancy (Bill) Glawatz, Mary (Bob) Sitzman.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. 

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with internment to follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.
